Jewish Vocational Services is established.

Formed by Associated Jewish, it is located initially at 6 North Russell Street. Its purpose is prepare Jewish immigrants to enter the workforce. Ida Hoos is the first director. The organization subsequently expands to add educational and other social services to immigrants from all countries, races, and religions.
